Devon Allen was born in Phoenix, Arizona, on December 7, 1994. He is the son of Damion and Dionne Allen. Devon has two brothers, Darian and Davien.

He attended Mountain Pointe High School in Ahwatukee Foothills, where he played football and ran track.
