Mohammed Siraj had a fairytale start to his comeback to the Indian ODI side on Sunday (July 17) at the Old Trafford Cricket Stadium in Manchester.

The 28-year-old gave India a phenomenal start by bowling a stunning double-wicket maiden over to put the hosts under massive pressure.

Siraj stunned the hosts with a phenomenal over that saw him dismiss explosive English Opener Jonny Bairstow and star batter Joe Root.

Both were dismissed for ducks putting India on top in the game.

Siraj came into the playing XI after India's pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah was ruled out of the game due to a back spasm.

Bumrah's absence was a big blow as he was in sensational form having taken a record-breaking six-wicket haul in the first game of the series at the Oval to help India take a 1-0 lead in the series.
